The question is "Are you ready?". People get ready for all sorts of things. They get ready to get married, get ready for the wedding. They get ready for a career by getting an education, ready to buy a house and save for it. There are all kinds of things people get ready for in this life; it consumes them, they are totally preoccupied with it. It takes most all of their time and energy, just always getting ready for something. Some people get ready by spending a lot of time and thought getting fit and eating a healthy diet, thinking it will help them live longer. Everybody wants to live as long as they can on this earth. But how sad that most people usually never give much thought to where they are going to go when they die. They just live and act like this life right here and now is the only thing there is to live for. But truly, if you stayed fit and ate healthy and lived to be 100, (if you are lucky enough to be spared accidents, natural disasters, shootings, etc., ) what would that even matter if you died without Christ and end up having to spend eternity in hell forever.
If you want to live a long life, why not call upon God to save you, and you will live forever and ever. John 3:16: For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. (That's a long time, everlasting," meaning never ending.")
The best part about it is you can get ready today. It doesn't take years of planning, figuring, or doing any type of works, etc.) It's a matter of the heart. If you believe in your heart that you are a sinner who deserves to go to hell, and you call upon Jesus and trust in his name, (as the one and only saviour), and believe the gospel (the death, burial, and resurrection), then you will be saved instantly and have everlasting life.
Romans 10:9: That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Romans 10:13: For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
The everlasting life will begin now and even before you die you will have an abundant life by knowing Jesus. For his spirit comes into our heart to dwell with us forever and he gives us peace and joy and great blessings by washing our sins away. Acts 10:43: To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. Being saved is the best life that anyone could ever have for here now and for eternity. Colossians 1:14: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.
John 5:24: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death to life.
John 17:3: And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
I John 5:11: And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
I John 5:13: These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
When you put your faith in Jesus, he gives you peace. Luke 7:50: And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.
Romans 5:1: Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Being saved also brings joy. Romans 5:11: And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement. (Christ's sacrificial death on the cross for us.)

There is only one way to heaven, and it is not by being religious, but by trusting Jesus as your personal savior. John 14:6: Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
All the different religions in the world do not believe in or serve the same God. You hear a lot of talk nowadays about "lets just all come together and be united", but the bible says that Jesus came to bring division. Luke 12:51-52: Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division: 52: For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.
Religions and denominations will never save your soul and give you eternal life.
There are actually only two religions in the world. One, is that God saves man by grace through faith in his son Jesus, or two, man tries to save himself through his own good works, deeds, and right living, etc. The reason there are so many different religions in the world is that man is always trying to devise his own plan of salvation through something he can do instead of just receiving the free gift of salvation that God provided for us by faith in Christ. The bible says that all our own self righteousness is as filthy rags to him. Isaiah 64:6: But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
Also, there is a social gospel out there that says to be a Christian we should just feed the hungry and care for the poor because that is what Jesus did, but that is not the real reason Jesus came into the world at all. The main purpose Jesus came into the world, sent from God the father, is so that he could die on the cross and purchase our redemption with his own shed blood.
I John 4:14: And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. Jesus came to save us from our sins, not to be a good example of how to live, etc.
I Corinthians 15:3: For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures.
Revelation 1:5: And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood.
1 Peter 2:24: Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
Isaiah 43:11: I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour.
Hosea 13:4: Yet I am the Lord thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me; for there is no saviour beside me.
Luke 2:11: For unto you is born this day in the city of David, a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
