Salvation Is A Personal Decision

Believing on Jesus is not just a mental consent that Jesus is the Son of God, it is believing with all your heart that Jesus will be your own saviour from your own sins, when you call upon him and trust him. It is putting all your faith in him alone and not in anything you can do yourself at all, like turning over a new leaf, repenting of sins, etc.  It is all by God's grace completely and we are totally undeserving of the gift of salvation. Acts 8:37: And Philip said, If thou believeth with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.  The bible says you must believe in thine heart.  Salvation is a personal decision. As an individual you must receive it for yourself.  Acts 16:30-31: And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?  31: And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.  Notice how it says what must I do. The Word of God describes salvation on an individual basis.  The verses below states "your sins," "thy transgressions," and "thy sins".

Isaiah 1:18: Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Isaiah 43:25: I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.

Salvation is a choice that every person in the world must make.  You cannot be neutral about Jesus. You must decide for yourself what you will do with him. If you choose not to accept him as your saviour, then you are making a choice to reject him.  There is no middle ground, Jesus said you are either for me or against me."  Luke 11:23: He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth.

Some people reject Jesus as their personal saviour because they are holding onto some form of religion or some type of church traditions that they have been raised in.  So they reject Christ because they would rather trust in their church.  They reason that if that is what their church says, their church must be right because they talk about God and Jesus.  There are many false religions in the world that use the name of God and Jesus, but they speak not of him in truth.  Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No man cometh unto the father but by me.  So you see, Jesus is the truth, not church traditions.

Mark 7:8: For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.
Mark7:9: And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

The bible even says that there will be some who preach another Jesus.  2 Corinthians 11:4: For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

Churches do not save, religion does not save, only Jesus saves.  Won't you come unto him today, trust him with your whole heart, and receive the wonderful gift of salvation.  Ephesians 2:8-9: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Jesus Died For Sinners, Not Good People

In the bible there is a parable about a man who was lost and a man who was saved. It is found in Luke chapter 16, and it goes like this:

 Luke 18:9: And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others;
10: Two men went up into the temple to pray: the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
11: The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers or even as this publican.
12: I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
13: And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
14: I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for every man that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

The first man, the Pharisee, thought he was a pretty good guy and that he did a lot of great and wonderful things, and he trusted in himself that he was righteous, but he was wrong because the publican who smote upon his breast and said "God be merciful to me a sinner" was the one who God justified and saved.  The Pharisee was not saved because God tells us in his word that all our own righteousnesses are as filthy rags to him.  Isaiah 64:6: But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

The way to be saved is to just come to Jesus as you are and ask him to be merciful to you a sinner.  I hope you will understand that Jesus loves you and that he died for you so that you could be forgiven and have eternal life, have peace in your heart, and joy deep down in your soul.  Jesus died for sinners, not for good people.  Mark 2:15: And it came to pass, that as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and his disciples: for there were many, and they followed him.  Mark 2:16: And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, how is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners? Mark 2:17: When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole need not a physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinner to repentance.

Romans 5:8: But God commented his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:6: For when we were without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

All Things Are Ready

This is a parable that Jesus taught about how salvation is likened to being invited to a wedding, all you have to do is come.

Matthew 22:-1-5: And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said,

2: The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son.
3: And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.
4: Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.
5: But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise.

So we see that everyone is invited but only a few will come.  People are too busy making money, too busy with the cares and pleasures of this life, and material possessions and endless activities, to even think about their soul.  God wants to save them.  He has done everything he could to provide salvation to sinners, but yet so many, most of the people in this world, will not come, even though God longs to save them as it says in  2 Peter 3:9; The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness, but is long-suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Matthew 7:13: Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat.

14: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

The way is narrow and strait, because there is only one way to be saved and that is through trusting Jesus alone.  As it says in John 14:6:  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man cometh unto the father but by me.

John 3:15: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.  Whosoever means anybody can come.  Though everyone is invited, only a few come.

Everything needed for your salvation is already prepared and ready.  All you have to do is call on the name of the Lord and receive it.  Jesus has already paid for your sin in full by his death and resurrection.  Just come to Jesus as you are.  You don't need to clean up your life first.  A person cannot stop sinning no matter how hard they try  That is the whole reason why we need a saviour. You don't get yourself cleaned up before you take a shower and that is the way it is with getting saved too.  Revelation 1:5: And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth.  Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood.  Just come to Jesus, that's all you have to do. He will do the washing, not we ourselves.  Jesus had all our sins placed on him, so he is able to pardon our sin and take our sin away and throw it in the deepest sea.  Acts 10:43: To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.  Did you notice how it says whosoever believeth. The only thing necessary on our part is to simply believe on Jesus and we receive the remission of sins from him. Matthew 1:21: And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Are You Going To Heaven

Do you know how to go to heaven ? The bible tells the way
It's not through anything we could do, we are all sinners gone astray
We cannot change ourselves, our hearts are sinful and black
The bible says we've all gone our own way and are totally off track

There is no way we could ever be good enough, that we know for sure
So God in his great love and mercy provided the perfect cure
He gave the perfect sacrifice that could make our black heart white
It is the precious blood of Jesus, who gave his life to make it right

Jesus shed his blood on Calvary to wash us from our sin
He does all the changing of our heart when we invite him in
Just put your faith in Christ and trust in him alone
His dying on the cross paid it all and did for all our sins atone

Jesus' shed blood will wash your heart and cleanse all sin away
You'll receive the gift of eternal life and in Heaven you will be someday
Just come to Jesus as you are, it was for sinners his blood outpoured
Then you can rest assured you are forgiven and he will be your Lord

Your name will be written down in the Lamb's Book of Life and can never be crossed out
You'll know you're on your way to Heaven and never again have to doubt

Romans 3:10 -12 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way..

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
